Time to Shine Phonics Level I Workshop
How to teach kids to read and spell in fun & engaging ways.
Service Description
This 6 week educational workshop will train you in the basic Orton Gillingham methodology and how to use all the learning modalities to optimize learning. I will provide you with the strategies, materials and direct instruction on how to implement a program, starting from our first class together. I've designed it in the same way that I teach children: sequentially and cumulatively - with each week building on the knowledge and skills you learned the week before. I will provide you with an indepth understanding of all the components and working parts as well as the most effective, tried and true strategies to teaching kids to read, spell and print. You will leave with more knowledge in the construct of the English language and how to approach breaking it down and teaching it in a way that makes sense to all learners. Remember, the best way to learn something is to teach it! I will have you ready to start teaching your child(ren) with confidence right away! Group rates are available - email me for details!
Cancellation Policy
NOTICE OF CANCELLATION & WORKSHOP COMPLETION I understand that sometimes emergencies or obligations to family or work can unexpectedly change our well-laid plans. Accordingly, I want to set out my cancellation policies both for myself and for you as my workshop participant. Time to Shine Teaching Cancellation Time to Shine Teaching reserves the right to cancel the full workshop due to insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances and will give 2 (two) working days notice. A full refund will apply. If Time to Shine Teaching has to cancel due to circumstances beyond my control and I am unable to give 2 days notice, then an alternative date or a full refund will be offered. In the event that Time to Shine needs to cancel a class within the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, then I will reschedule a make up class (mostly likely on the same day/time of the week). Workshop participant cancellation Cancellations made within 7 days in advance of the start date = 100% refund Cancellations made within 3 days in advance of the start date = 50% refund Cancellations made less than 3 days in advance of the start day or non-attendance = no refund If the event that you need to cancel your spot in the workshop please email: timetoshineteaching@gmail.com This workshop offers a Certificate of Completion. Qualification for this Certificate requires your presence and participation. Absence from more than one class during the workshop will mean that you will not receive the Certificate of Completion.
